This place puts the soul in soul food. Can't beat spending 24$ on POUNDS of food. Ribs cooked just right and the tea is sweeter than my grandma's kisses. The smells got me coming in, and food keeps me coming back. If youre in Kirkwood you MUST stop in and get you a rib plate dinner. Ill be coming back everytime I'm near.

Yall! Best country cooking I’ve had in the area. The food is delicious, the portions are more than fair, and the price is low! What more could you ask for? All this for only $31. Don’t judge a book by its cover, because this place will pleasantly surprise you and have you wanting to come back for more. The staff are very welcoming and pleasant too!

This place is a must stop. The people who work there are so friendly, and the portions are generous. I had the ribs, and my friend had the pig ears. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some serious barbecue.

Would recommend highly. Best cabbage and Mac n cheese, flavorful ribs. They sell out quickly…Call in advance to time your trip according to what they’re cooking and when it will be available.

The ribs are excellent. They are flavorful, smoky, and tender. For $20 you get a huge plate of them. Definitely worthwhile

The food is soooo good and they serve large portions too. I am so glad that my daughter introduced me to this place for soul food because it is one of the best I’ve ever had.

I had a craving for BBQ earlier and wanted to try a new, less “commercialized” restaurant. The fact that this is a Black owned spot made it even better. I was not disappointed (other than by the 30 minute drive it took in Sunday ATL traffic to get there). The ribs were tasty, the greens were just right and the mac & cheese was super creamy. I really enjoyed the service I received as well, so the negative reviews are interesting to see. I’d definitely come back!
